How to Forward Gmail to Multiple Emails

Need to forward your Gmail to multiple email addresses? I just setup a new Gmail account for a website project. The idea is that with one Gmail address, I will use it for contact info, as well as setting up all related social media and marketing accounts, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. The problem is that you can only forward Gmail email to only one email account, the solution is to forwarding and filters.  So, while it’s still fresh in my mind, here’s how to forward your Gmail to multiple accounts:

Setup Forwarding in Gmail

This assumes that you’ve already setup a Gmail account and you have it open :)

1. Click the Gear icon > Settings
2. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
   
3. Click the Add Forwarding button to add the first email you want to forward to.
4. Check your email and click the verification link.
5. ONCE VERIFIED, go back into Settings/Forwarding and make sure to tick the radio button “Forward a copy of incoming mail to” your email AND choose whether you want to delete, mark as read, archive, etc. I know I’ve missed this step in the past and wondered why I wasn’t receiving a copy of the email. 

At this point, your Gmail will now forward to the email address you’ve specified. Now let’s add our second email. This is done by setting up a filter in Gmail.

Setup a Gmail Filter to Forward Email

You can create filters in Gmail to forward up to 20 email addresses.

1. Open Gmail
2. Click the drop arrow in the search box.
   
3. Enter your Gmail address in the To field.
   
4. Click Create Filter with this search >> link
5. Tick the Forward it to: box and Select address to forward to or Add forwarding address. (If you need to add a forwarding address, see the steps above in the first part of this tutorial)
6. Click the Create filter button and you’re good to go.
